In this webinar, we will explore how and what sustainability claims are regulated, and discuss common misconceptions about food labeling while providing tips for correctly interpreting product labels and claims.We'll start off by exploring the various roles that federal agencies play in the food system.
We'll also talk about what voluntary front-of-package labeling is, and go over different kinds of claims that brands can make on their products, including third party certifications. Finally, we'll tackle some common misconceptions about food labeling and what the unregulated terms on product packages really mean (clean, sustainable, green…).
