Each of our five focus areas represents a critical lever for transforming regenerative food systems. These are the core themes that guide our programs, partnerships, and priorities, along with example activities that demonstrate what this work can look like in action.
Position Statement: We believe food is a basic human right — and our food systems must reflect that truth. At PHC, we confront the deep roots of systemic oppression across the food chain, from land dispossession to labor exploitation to structural racism in health and nutrition access. We stand with communities fighting for food sovereignty, animal welfare, and the rights of essential food and farm workers. Our programs advocate for just transitions that center the well-being of people, animals, and the planet — prioritizing policies and practices that redistribute power, protect land and labor, and make nutritious, culturally affirming foods universally accessible.
Focus: We work to dismantle systemic injustices in food and nutrition, from land theft and labor exploitation to environmental racism and cultural erasure. Equity is not an add-on — it is the foundation of regeneration. Our work in this area amplifies community-led movements, protects animal and food worker welfare, and advocates for policy that re-centers people and planet.

Position Statement: We uplift plant-forward diets that are rooted in diverse culinary traditions, cultural resilience, and ecological stewardship. At PHC, plant-forward does not mean erasure of heritage or austerity — it means restoration, joy, and reclaiming agency over what nourishes us. Our work promotes plant-based shifts that are inclusive, affordable, flavor-rich, and context-aware — shaped by the wisdom of global communities, not by top-down nutrition dogma.
Focus: We promote plant-forward eating that is joyful, accessible, and rooted in diverse cultural wisdom. Our approach celebrates traditional ecological knowledge, flavor, and identity, while supporting biodiversity and health. We believe that honoring food heritage is key to a sustainable future.
Position Statement: Our vision of food as medicine begins with the soil. PHC bridges regenerative agriculture and community health by working with dietitians, farmers, and clinicians to embed whole, sustainably grown foods into care models. We move beyond the clinical script to design programs where culturally familiar, nutrient-dense foods support both ecological and individual healing — shifting the default from sick care to root-cause nourishment.
Focus: We connect the healing potential of food to the regenerative power of agriculture. Our vision of Food as Medicine centers culturally relevant, nutrient-dense, regeneratively grown foods as an integrated part of health care systems. We build bridges between clinicians, farmers, and public health advocates to nourish both bodies and ecosystems.

Position Statement: We believe in the power of collective leadership. PHC nurtures a global ecosystem of emerging leaders — nutritionists, chefs, growers, researchers, storytellers — who are working at the intersection of food, climate, and justice. Through education, mentorship, and shared learning, we foster a movement that is radically inclusive, deeply collaborative, and fiercely committed to creating a food system where all can thrive.
Focus: We are cultivating a thriving network of emerging leaders across food, health, and climate sectors. Our role is to build the connective tissue — creating opportunities for mentorship, storytelling, collective learning, and career support. Our global community is bold, brilliant, and ready to reshape the system.
Be part of a global collective co-creating a more nourishing, just, and regenerative future for all.
